Toxicity is a hazard we cannot avoid in our outdoor environment. It is everywhere from the air we breathe the water we consume to the soil our food is grown in. But we can control the environment in our home. In our home we are completely chemical free, from what we put on our body to the laundry soap we use. We only use 100% natural earth and animal friendly products.
For example the only products I use to clean our house is Borax, white vinegar, baking soda, essential oils, olive and coconut oil.
Our laundry soap is by a company called Oasis and we recycle the water for our vegetable garden
One of my major pet peeves is the use of artificial flavors, colors and scents. Artificial air fresheners and sprays are one of the most toxic substances to our body. The twisted thing about the industry is most of these chemical companies have “Trade Secret” protection meaning they legally do not have to disclose all the ingredients used in their products. Even more disturbing is the health report findings on these air fresheners and the hazards labeled clearly on their product warns dangers if ingested or inhaled.
Here are some compelling links about artificial air fresheners.
