Hello my healthy people!
I wanted to share our latest health endeavor and favorite recipe so far. The Denson’s are committing to a 60 days gluten and dairy free diet. We are hoping to see some health improvements by decreasing inflammation, better energy and promoting healthier gut bacteria. This new way of life has forced us to become creative in exploring different ways of preparing our meals that taste delicious. I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes that is truly outstanding. It took some tinkering around but worth every bit of energy.
Dairy Free Alfredo Sauce (rich and creamy)
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup cauliflower
3/4 cup homemade cashew milk (or store bought also the homemade version is a lot creamier)
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup raw cashews (or soaked for 6 hours)
I tablespoon nutritional yeast
salt and pepper to taste
Saute garlic in pot with olive oil until golden brown. Add cashew milk bring to boil. Add cauliflower and cook till tender about 7min. Transfer to blender add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Transfer back
